Following are detailed descriptions of each of our camp programs. Browse through these descriptions or use the list on our main
Camp Information page to find camps appropriate to the age group you are interested in. Camp programs are scheduled at various times throughout
the summer. The dates for each camp are listed in
the camp descriptions and are also available in the full
schedule listed to the right.

Registration will begin January 15, 2009!
If you wish to register before that date, download a
registration form and mail it to the Meadowkirk office.
Community Camp:
Experience the best of Meadowkirk!
You'll
jump into the best of camp with
swimming, arts & crafts, Bible Study, nature
exploration, singing, group games, hiking, tubing and
more. Stay in our comfortable environmentally-friendly
cottages with your small group while you explore your
faith and make new friends! $395

Artastic
Craftacular:

Do you love Arts & Crafts? Join us
for a Craftacular week of camp with daily arts & crafts
time with special projects! You'll stay in our cottages
and also enjoy other camp activities like
swimming, Bible Study, nature
exploration, singing, group games, hiking, tubing and

Eco Camp:
Go Green! In addition to all of the
fun camp activities like swimming, hiking, Bible Study,
arts & crafts, and more, you'll learn about caring for
God's good earth by learning about organic gardening,
local food, composting, green energy, recycling, and
more! Our geothermally cooled cottages will be your base
for the week, making it a truly green experience.

Rustic Camp:
An "InTents" Meadowkirk adventure! This is a true rustic
experience of living in spacious platform tents and cooking
out some of your meals. You will also be able to enjoy
your favorite camp activities like swimming, arts &
crafts, Bible Study, nature exploration, singing, group
games, hiking, and more - all with your small group. $350

God & Country:

A special week for scouts of all
kinds (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Campfire Boys & Girls,
etc). With special sessions and activities, you'll explore your faith in God and how you can participate in
the life of your church — and along the way, you'll
complete the requirements for a God & Country award.
You'll also stay in our rustic platform tents and do all
of the other fun parts of camp like cooking out,
swimming, singing, arts & crafts, and more. This session
requires special pre-camp activities you can do at home. $395

Night Owl Camp:
Like to sleep late and stay up later? Here is your chance
to live like a Night Owl at camp! You'll
sleep in and eat breakfast around lunchtime, lunch
around dinnertime, and dinner late at night. This
shifted schedule will allow you to explore the beauty of
the night with night hikes, night tubing, time in the
observatory, night swimming, and observation of the
animals of Meadowkirk at night when they are most
active! This program is offered twice in 2009! $395

Middle High Adventure:
Join in the Adventure! Join us for
a week of rock climbing, canoeing on the Shenandoah,
tubing, and swinging from trees on the Meadowkirk High
Ropes Course with your fellow adventurers. You'll stay
in our platform tents, cook out multiple times, have fun
with your small group, and you'll get to do other camp
favorites as well — like arts & crafts, swimming, nature
exploration, and more! $545

Equestrian Camp:
Meadowkirk is in the heart of Virginia Horse Country
and our Equestrian Camp is your ticket to explore it! You'll
travel each day to a nearby equestrian facility for riding
and lessons in how to care for horses and tack.
The rest of your time will be spent at Meadowkirk
enjoying the pool, arts & crafts, Bible Study, group
games, and more while staying in comfortable cottages.
No previous riding experience is required. $595

Grunge Camp:
Get down and dirty! In this
unforgettable week, you'll hike in the creek, learn how
to build fires, make crafts out of mud and clay, dig in
the camp garden, camp out in our platform tents, and
have an all-around grungy good week. This week is not
for those who want to stay clean, but is perfect for
those who don't mind a little dirt in their life! $375

Primal Camp:
The Cottages too cushy? Try our most rustic camping
option — camp out every night in tents you pitch, cook
out most of your meals, and explore the open meadows and
beautiful forests of Meadowkirk in a different camping
spot each night. Other primal fun includes face
painting, creating a "primal stick," and otherwise
having a truly unique week at camp. Don't worry — you'll still get to do all of you favorite camp
activities like swimming, tubing, hiking, Bible Study,
and nature exploration. Breakthrough to an amazing

More Than Words:
Learn to express your faith with
more than just words alone — you'll explore how you can
use music, art, drama, and movement to share the good
news of Jesus. Try your hand at making a banner,
learning new songs from around the world, and creating a
skit for worship! Bring an instrument if you would like
— or come with just your creative self. $425

The Next Step:
Finding a college can be a stressful time — but it can
also be an exciting adventure! Join other rising 10th-12th
graders as you explore the next step in your life on this
trip to visit colleges, learn about college admission, and
hear from college students about what their experience is
like. This year, we'll head north to visit a number of colleges
and universities, several with a connection to the PC (USA).
This will be an adventure of learning and an exploration
of your future!

Leadership Training
Camp:

Together Camp:
If something is new or intimidating, the best thing is
to do it together! First time campers and/or young children
are invited to bring a caring family member to experience
Meadowkirk for the first time together. In this half-week
program, you'll get to try out the best of camp — swimming, hiking,
arts & crafts, singing, bible study, and more! $195/per

Family Camp:
Wish you could spend more time with your family? Here
is your chance to spend a week in an all-inclusive Meadowkirk
experience for the whole family. All of the fun of camp,
including swimming, arts & crafts, Bible Study, nature exploration,

available for your family to enjoy together. You'll also
have the option of staying in our cottages or in your own

Summer
Spirituality Retreat:
You deserve a time apart, too! This
summer retreat for adults will focus on rest, renewal,
and reflection. You'll stay in our most comfortable
accommodations in The House and The Inn, have
opportunities for adventure with our Challenge Course
and tubing on Goose Creek, participate in daily worship
and reflection times, explore the meaning of Christian
community together. This all-inclusive retreat includes
